R&D Showcase (Mar'25)
The annual R&D event at IIIT-Hyderabad provided a platform for idea exchange and project collaboration, attracting over 30 external participants. The Driving Simulator at the R&D Showcase '25 saw enthusiastic engagement, with visitors exploring various scenarios and engaging in hands-on trials. In total, more than 30 visitors experienced the simulator, with 10 participating in detailed trials. Attendees raised insightful questions about system configuration, software versions, data logging, storage, and scenario design. Specific queries focused on how log data is recorded and stored, time synchronization between Aria and GoPro, and the practical applications of the collected data. To address these inquiries, we processed data on the spot, showcasing its relevance and extracting key insights from each user's session. Visitors appreciated the seamless integration of hardware and software, highlighting the simulator’s potential in advancing driving research and real-world applications.
Aria Team Visit from Meta (Aug '24)
James Fort, Research Product Manager; Shangyi Cheng, Research Engineer; Vijay Baiyya, Research Engineer from Meta visited our Simulator platform. They were provided with a comprehensive demo of our simulation platform and actively participated in hands-on trials, wearing Aria glasses.
R&D Showcase (Mar'24)
The annual R&D event at IIIT-Hyderabad brought together researchers, faculty, students, and industry experts for idea exchange and project collaboration, with around 350 external participants.
The driving simulator demo was a major highlight, drawing a large crowd for its exciting scenarios and Indian driving situations. Feedback from participants indicated a keen interest in implementation, demonstration, experience to a driving school with a fun and skill-learning aspects.
Symposium (Dec'23)
The IHub-Data and IIIT-Hyderabad mobility simulator program is a mission in tackling Indian road challenges with driver behavior understanding and research collaborations.
The recent simulator symposium featured 18 speakers, including 11 from academia (UCSD, AI2/UW, UCLA, Texas Robotics, IITB, IITH, IITR, IITD) and 7 from industry (Google, NVIDIA, TCS Research, Monarch Tractor, CSIR-CRRI, Ola Electric, Enphiniti), with a closed door brainstorming 54 external participants (37 academia, 17 industry) to advance road safety and innovation.
